My name is Destiny I am the owner and founder of Akima Beauty. At the age of seven years old I found my love for all things beauty. At the age of 18 I enrolled in cosmetology school. After receiving my cosmetology license at the age of 19 I could not find any luck landing a job at a salon in my area. So I decided to work security. During my time working as a security officer overnight I would contact hair vendors and use my money to invest in my business. A few months later I found a salon willing to take me in and hire me with no salon experience. During my time in this salon I met amazing people and it shaped me into the business owner and stylist that I am today at the age of 23 I rented my first salon suite and created my first hair product and hair extension line. Echelon oil is my first product that is handmade by me it is a mixture of oils that increases growth in hair & Akima Beauty extensions is high quality in Indian hair.
